Referral Partner Agreement
The terms you accept when you enrol. Written to be read rather than to be got past — it is a page and a half, and the parts that could cost you something are the ones in plain language.
What you are agreeing to
You introduce clients who might want to buy link placements from us. We pay you a one-time commission when one of them becomes a paying client, worked out from the rate card on the programme page. You are not our employee, agent or representative, and you cannot make promises on our behalf.
Permission to share a contact
When you refer somebody by name and email, you are confirming you have their permission to pass their details to us. That is not a formality — it is the basis on which we are allowed to contact them at all. If you do not have it, use your referral link instead and let them come to us themselves.
How a referral is credited
A referral is credited to whoever submitted it first, by timestamp. Where the same client is referred twice, both records are reviewed by a person rather than the later one being discarded automatically. Referrals of yourself, of a company you control, or of a client who has ordered with us in the previous twelve months without a referral, are held for review and may not be paid.
How much you earn and when
Commission is calculated once, on everything the referred client spends in their first three months, at the published rates. It is not recurring. Payouts run monthly, thirty days from the end of the month the commission was finalised, subject to the published minimum. Below the minimum, the balance is held and carried forward rather than lost.
What we can change
We can revise the rates, thresholds and windows. Changes apply to referrals submitted after the change, never retroactively to commission you have already earned. We will tell you before a change takes effect.
Ending it
Either side can leave at any time, with no notice and no penalty. Commission already earned is still paid. We may suspend an account where referrals are being manufactured rather than genuinely introduced — invented contacts, addresses that do not belong to a real client, or referrals of businesses you control.
Data
We hold the contact details you submit in order to approach the client and to keep a record of who introduced them. That record is kept even after a referral lapses, because it is what settles a dispute later. Our privacy policy covers how we handle it.
Anything else
This sits alongside our terms of service and privacy policy. Where this agreement and those documents disagree about the referral programme specifically, this one applies.
Version draft-1. The version you accepted is recorded against your enrolment, so a later revision cannot quietly change what you signed up to. Back to enrolment.
